Maya Chung began making scientific illustrations in 2014 during an internship at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. She worked at the NMNH from 2013-2015 in education and outreach, specimen preparation, curation, preservation, research, and illustration.
She graduated from Harvard College in 2019 with a BA in Earth & Planetary Sciences. She will begin her PhD at Princeton University in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences in Fall 2020.
